The most unique dining experience at 10,461ft, is what Gwyn's High Alpine is known for. Located at the top of the Alpine Springs lift, Gwyn's has consistently been voted as North America’s best on-mountain restaurant. During the summer months Gwyn's High Alpine is the perfect private venue for your wedding or a special event.
There are actually two restaurants here, Gwynn's - which provides fine dining, and High Alpine, which is a cafe and bar.
It's not necessary to be a skier or snowboarder to enjoy the great views and wonderful food here, either. Anyone on foot can purchase a Day Foot Passenger ticket to take a 10-minute ride up the Alpine Springs lift, and get off at Gwyn's High Alpine restaurant. (There will be plenty of signs pointing how to get to the Alpine Springs lift terminal.)
And what deliciousness is on the menu mid-mountain?
Breakfast fare at Gwun's includes Huevos Rancheros and Eggs Benedict. For lunch, starters include Seafood Puffs and Wild Mushroom Risotto. Salads include Tuscan Chicken and Poached Pears and Orange Sesame Salmon. Among their specialities are Elk Medallions. Hawaiian tilapia tacos are flavorful and delicious. For dessert, try Brandy Bread Pudding.
At High Alpine - in the same building, remember - there's a full-service bar and lots of good food, served quickly. They've got an outdoors grill on their patio so when the winter weather cooperates there will be brats cooking.
Also on the menu are hamburgers, sandwiches, wraps, soups and stews.
