The Hotel Jerome is an iconic location in Aspen, built in 1896, and within the Jerome is the iconic J-Bar and its signature drink, the "Aspen Crud."

Silver miners "bellied up" to the bar here in the early 1900s, during World War II members of the 10th Mountain Division drank here, and during the 1950s actors and actresses such as Lex Barker and Lana Turner came to be Seen here. John Wayne and Gary Cooper were frequent visitors here. Today, the occasional movie star can be seen enjoying a drink or two.

The J-Bar is steeped in history and it is also steeped in good food and good drinks. Open from early afternoon to late at night, the J-Bar serves appetizers, soups and salads, hot sandwiches, juices, beeers, and specialty cocktails.
