The Aspen Historical Society hopes to enrich the community through preserving and communicating Aspen’s rich and long history. It is here that groups can take tours to many different historic sites such as the Ashcroft Ghost Town, Ranching Museum, and Carriage House. It is also possible to learn more than enough about Aspens history starting from as early as the 1870s. Programs and events are held such as various children programs.

ASFB performs in its home communities of Aspen, CO, and Santa Fe, NM, during both summer and winter seasons.
The Aspen Snowmass Nordic Trail System maintained by the Aspen Snowmass Nordic Council contains 60 miles of free cross country ski and snowshoe trails all between Aspen, Snowmass, and Basalt. Enjoyed by both residents and visitors, it is a fun and great way to get from town to town.
